I’ve spent a lot of my time trying to dissect great leaders, creators, and impactful people to try and figure out what makes them great. And in an attempt to distill that information and use it for myself I came across something that is universal amongst all of these people. Its a key characteristic that makes them so influential and in this blog post I want to share that characteristic with you, explain why its so important, and show you how you can implement it in your life starting now.
What does it mean to be honorable?
When i say the word “honorable”, what comes to mind for you? Some of us immediately jump to Tony from the Sopranos honorable i.e. bring honor to my family honorable. Or maybe Marine style “who are you when no ones watching” honorable. But neither of those are the honorable I am talking about. The honorability I’m talking about is much more important.
Honorability in its simplest form is being someone who does what they say.
It sounds so simple, but think about the amount of people who say they’ll do something and end up not doing it. Maybe you are one of those people. I know I was severely guilty of that which is why I began this intense search to find honorability.
